Welcome to 5th grade Social Studies.  It is going to be a great, yet very fast-paced year.  The following information is to help you and your child know what to expect for the upcoming year.  We will be covering a lot of material in Social Studies:  Jamestown Settlement, Plymouth Plantation, Colonial America, American Revolution and the Early Federal Period (U.S Constitution and Bill of Rights). It is necessary that students keep up with assignments and turn them in on time.  Voluntary encore is available for students who would like additional help.  Any student whose grade average is a F (64 or below) will be assigned MANDATORY ENCORE.   Feel free to call me with any questions or concerns.
